Roller derby tip of the week
When you just started up a team it is important to train to pass the test of Minimal Requirements by the WFTDA. When you’re part of the Derby Association you can get started to get professional and start to find funding. Several local businesses are more than happy to support a sports team and get in return a spot on your website, their logo on your teamoutfits and so on. You could also organize a benefit to raise money for your club. Just training isn’t always enough so look out for possibilities to raise money and awareness to get your team a bit further.
Roller derby team in the spotlight
Every week another team will be in the spotlight. This week the Amsterdam Derby Dames is the lucky team. October 09 the Netherlands finally got their first and only derby team! Amsterdam Derby Dames has been training and recruting to build up their team and spread the word. The team grew quite fast, and it seems there will be new teams starting up in other cities also. We’re happy to greet the new team to this fantastic sport. Keep up the good work ladies!
